The university’s mission is incomplete until its knowledge, laboratories and people reach the wider community. Its service to that community therefore ranges from training and awareness campaigns to expert advice and volunteering.
What the colleges offer
- Engineering Technology: technical advice on construction and materials testing, and workshops on electrical safety and energy saving.
- Science: health awareness campaigns, radiation-protection awareness, and the importance of preserving crime scenes.
- Education: support for schools and teachers, educational and family counselling, and promoting correct Arabic.
Ways we take part
- Open courses and workshops run by the Continuing Education Division.
- Public seminars and lectures on health, environment and education.
- Student volunteering in tree planting, clean-up campaigns and support for families in need.
- Contributing to national and academic occasions.
Community activities are published in the Media centre, and institutions and individuals can send proposals through the Contact page.
