The Continuing Education Division runs short training programmes for university staff and members of the wider community, meeting professional-development needs and awarding certificates of attendance or completion under its own rules.

- Administrative performance and quality courses for staff.
For the community
- Practical courses in computing and languages.
- Specialist courses drawing on the expertise of the university’s departments, such as laboratory safety, basic laboratory analysis, computer-aided engineering drawing and teaching skills.
- Short workshops and awareness seminars.
