Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme for education, training, youth and sport. Universities in partner countries, Iraq among them, can take part in its academic mobility and capacity-building projects. The university’s Erasmus+ unit follows the programme’s opportunities and makes them known to students and staff.
Opportunities
- International credit mobility: short grants for students, teachers and staff to study, teach or train at European universities, under agreements between institutions.
- Capacity building in higher education: joint projects to develop curricula, university management and quality assurance.
- Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters: scholarships that graduates apply for directly.
What the unit does
- Follows the programme’s annual calls and announces them.
- Helps faculty build partnerships and prepare proposals.
- Advises students and staff applying for grants.
- Works with the Bologna framework and ECTS so that study abroad is recognised.
