Al-Rumaitha Private University works to widen access to university study in fields Iraq needs: engineering technology, applied science and teacher education. It is a private higher-education institution recognised by the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The university today
The university has three colleges — Engineering Technology, Science and Education — with nine departments awarding the bachelor’s degree. Its programmes follow the Bologna Process and the quality-assurance standards adopted by the Ministry.
The seal
The university seal bears the Qur’anic verse “My Lord, increase me in knowledge” on its gold band. At its centre an eight-pointed star frames an open book, flanked by a palm frond and an olive branch. The university sums up its mission in three values: Heritage · Rigor · Modernity.
