Contracts Audit Unit
Overview
The Contracts Audit Unit examines the university's contracts at every stage, from announcement and award to performance and handover, to verify that procedures are sound, comply with the regulations in force and protect the university's rights. It also ensures that payments match what the contracts provide for and what has actually been delivered.
Responsibilities
- Auditing announcement and award procedures and the minutes of bid-opening and evaluation committees.
- Verifying that contracts meet their legal requirements and include the required guarantees.
- Monitoring contract performance and checking that delivered works and materials match the contracted specifications.
- Auditing contractors' entitlements before payment and matching them against the progress achieved.
- Verifying that delay penalties and penalty clauses are applied when due.
