Central Library
Overview
The Central Library is the university's centre of knowledge, providing students, lecturers and researchers with print and electronic information resources and easy access to them in an environment suited to reading and research. Through its four units it develops and organises its collections and delivers its services using modern methods.
Responsibilities
- Developing the library's collections of books, periodicals and electronic resources according to the needs of academic departments.
- Organising information resources and making them available through an online catalogue.
- Providing lending, reading, reference and guidance services to users.
- Keeping graduation projects and staff research output and making them available according to the rules.
- Facilitating access to the databases and virtual libraries available to the university.
- Training users in research skills and the use of information resources.
