Overview
The Student Activities Department looks after the extracurricular side of student life, giving students the chance to pursue their interests and develop their talents in sport, scouting, culture, the arts and volunteering. It aims to build well-rounded individuals who combine academic achievement with team spirit, a sense of belonging and social responsibility.
Responsibilities
- Preparing the annual plan of student activities in coordination with the colleges.
- Discovering and nurturing student talent and providing what it needs to develop.
- Organising competitions, festivals and tournaments within the university.
- Preparing student teams to represent the university at university events and tournaments.
- Supervising the sports, scouting, cultural, arts and volunteering divisions.
- Documenting activities and honouring the students who excel in them.
